Your “postess with the mostest” is named Leah, wife of prostate-cancer patient. Am late-40s, live in NYC, have worked in writing/editing and law. In the last 5 years I’ve immersed myself in prostate cancer-related activities.
My goal for this blog is to help bring about the humane and effective treatment (in both senses of the word) of people with prostate cancer and their loved ones, particularly by members of the medical profession. I would like to build bridges between doctors and patients by providing a forum for communication.
I try to write passionately and compassionately, with a liberal sprinkling of *humor and poetry.* But there is plenty of substantive information as well.
My husband is 59, had a robotic prostatectomy on in 10/05, recurred in 1/07. Underwent salvage radiation therapy at MSKCC in 7-8/07. So far, PSA is undetectable.
